Rolling...

So Dani started rolling last week.  It's pretty funny to think that she could quite possibly move her little self across the floor if she got really motivated, I mean, she's only 3 1/2 months old! Since developing this new skill Dani has decided that she prefers to nap on her stomach.  She will sleep all night on her back, but naps are best taken on her stomach and she will roll herself over to make sure she is most comfortable after I put her down to sleep on her back.

Lilacs and Deer

I took Michaela and Dani out to the family farm last week to try to get some pictures with the apple blossoms.  Unfortunately, the trees were cleaned of their blossoms the day or two before by the winds but the lilac bushes were in full bloom by then.  Michaela LOVED visiting (as always) and was especially excited to visit the cement deer in my grandparents' front yard.  Sometimes she is such a goof!

You can see a small part of a cement deer ear on the lower left corner in her hands.  She was plucking leaves from Grandma Rasch's rose bush to 'feed' to the deer. :)

Mother's Day 2010

Here's a few shots from our Mother's Day celebration with my Mom.  We got together the Sunday before Mother's Day and the cloudy day was perfect for some great shots of the kids.

Michaela's absolute favorite toy at Aunt Jodi and Uncle Kevin's (and Dylan is always nice enough to share it with her).

Guitar

After our dance party the other evening Michaela decided to play her guitar (a frisbee she had gotten for Easter).  Chris, being the smart daddy that he is, made her a new guitar.  Here she is rocking out in the living room.  Maybe she'll start a girl rock band with her other preschool friends...

Matchers

Michaela LOVES it when she and Dani get to match with anything.  She declares that they are "matchers" and gets a big smile on her face.  The other night I dressed them both in their frog pajamas that my mom had gotten each of them.  I thought my little "matchers" were so cute together!

Sharing

Michaela has been such a good big sister to Dani and has really gotten excited lately now that Dani can actually play with toys.  Michaela will bring toys to her sister to play with and well... you can see the results of her superb sharing skills below. :)

Michaela saw that Dani was getting sleepy and covered her sister up with her two favorite little blankets.  Michaela also made sure Dani could snuggle with the puppy toy Michaela had been playing with all morning.

Michaela got all of Dani's toys out for Dani to play with.  She even read her baby sister a book once she got everything out.

Family Dance Party means that baby Dani needs a skirt on too. :)
