Strawberries

Oh, how I love strawberry season!  I was able to take Michaela with me yesterday to Morse Brothers Farm to do some U-Pick.  We managed to pick 30 pounds of berries in about an hour and a half and were back to my Mom's to get Dani by 11:30 am. (Thanks Grandma for having baby duty while we were in the field!)

She did a pretty good job of staying in our row. Running back and forth was SO much fun!

After working for the Morse's for about 4 summers during strawberry season, I could not imagine going to pick anywhere else and was really glad to share this experience with Michaela.  Maybe next year Dani will make the excursion with us? :)

Rockford Summer Celebration

We went to the Rockford Start of Summer Celebration last weekend and had some fun.  Michaela was thrilled to try her first Elephant Ear... oh, that poor elephant who can't hear anymore. ;)  We also were able to get some more use out of our new Baby Jogger double stroller - quite the garage sale deal for me this year!

Jumparoo

I put together the Jumparoo for Dani last week and she just LOVED it! She was immediately making herself jump a little (which is pretty surprising since she's only 4 months old).  I was a little sad though that she needed the height adjusters on the level 3 (out of 4, with 4 being the highest).  She's so big already!

Dress Up

So, if you've ever been to our house you know that Michaela loves to dress up (and strip down, but that is another matter entirely...)  Only the most ridiculous outfits catch my attention anymore for picture taking - this is one of my new favorites. 

For some reason we found the mint green 80's Madonna/Michael Jackson glove particularly funny. :)

Sisters

Oddly enough, this picture is almost a month old already.  I just love that was able to get a picture where they were both looking at the camera though. :)

Dani - 4 months old

Wow - it doesn't seem like that long ago we had a newborn here who deprived us of sleep, showers and eating regularly.  Well, Dani is 4 months old now and here's some updates on how she's doing...

Weight: 15 lbs. (50th percentile)

Height: 26 1/4 inches (97th percentile)

She is wearing 6-9 month size clothes now and is one LONG skinny baby! She is also sleeping 10-12 hours straight through the night plus at least 2 naps lasting 1-3 hours.  YIPPEE!!!  Right now her favorite person is definitely her big sister Michaela - Dani will smile and laugh at Michaela sometimes for no other reason than Michaela just looked at her.

Everybody get in line...

So Michaela likes to line things up.  The magnets on the refrigerator; blocks by color, shape and size; her DVDs; and the list goes on...  Here's a nice shot of her lining up her beanbags and toy cars a few weeks ago.  Her expression in this picture is PRICELESS and I'm glad I was able to capture it.  Enjoy!

Our Lil' Roller

With Dani being able to roll over now she spends most of the day on her stomach.  Here she is last week having some fun on her stomach.

She gets very smiley whenever anyone talks to her now and is likely to start smiling, giggling and talking back to you.

Start to Summer Fun

Here's some pictures from the start to our summer fun.  Thanks to our friends the Higleys we were able to spend a day last week out at their family cottage.  Michaela had tons of fun with her 'buddy' Owen and was nice and tired out for us that night.
